777 Unlimited Call & Text

Planning to have a line on SunCellular, yesterday is the day I got one!!!

Saving money to buy loads, huh? Calling in mobile phones are not that cheap!!! How much is the cost calling Smart to Smart network? How about Globe to Globe?

For almost about 10 months, I'm using SunCellular to have call with sis everyday, I need to load P450 unlimited call & text for 30 days. If I'm not mistaken, we start using suncel last October 24 or 26 last year 2007. First, free 1 week unli call&text and then after that I load P100 unli call&text for 7 days. I load P100 5 times so it makes 5 weeks to have it. But then 7 days for P100 and 30 days for P450, it's just like buying 4 pieces P100 7 days is equal to 28 days and 2 days P25 each is P50 is just like P450, but what about looking the situation is harder than having 1 straight 30 days for easier loading the mobile for calls is better.

July 30, before we watch the movie A Very Special Love, we go to SunCellular center at SM Fairview to apply for the plan of SunCel. And now, yesterday we received the phone and the line around 3 o'clock in the afternoon. It takes too much time looking for combinations of the number that is free for the customer to choose because most of the combination I want are already connected, means there are already people using that number. And what? I still have my own combination but it's kinda weird from the numbers I want to. They told me that the plan will be activated within 24 hours. When I wake up around 4 o'clock this day, a signal pops out on the screen, means? It was already activated! But I still didn't tell sis that I already have it :D.

Nokia 2630 white is the model of the mobile I choose. Actually, the first model I want is the Ericsson because I saw the brochure about the phone is that the package has Bluetooth Headset but when I ask them, they said that only charger and the normal headset only, and other thing is, it is not user friendly so I return to 2630 since my mom's free mobile from SMART plan chose when the cellphone's contract end. And I'm the one using that with my Smart sim since it is not open line.

What about my old sim? I'm still using since I still in observation the difference of the postpaid between prepaid and August 16 is the expiration date of my prepaid sim.

Now, let's see how much I saved calling Sun to Sun since we start calling:

my Dialled calls' duration is 451:11:38 (hr:min:sec)

convert to minutes: 451 x 60 = 27060
add the remaining minute: 27060 + 11 = 27071
how about the second? counted as I minute: 27071 + 1 = ang bagal... 27072
how much I spent for about 10 months?
P100 x 5 = P500
P450 x 9 = P4050
overall: P4,550

What if comparing to smart? How much is per minute again?
Most people told me that P7 call per minute in Smart:

27,072 mins x P7 = P189,504 overall (HUWAT?!?)

How about Globe? P6.50? I'm not sure, let's assume since it has only bit difference in Smart:

27,072 x P6.50 = P175,986 overall

You see that?!?

So, how much money I saved in SunCellular? Or let's say, How much did the SunCellular lost if they compete in the same price?

Smart: P189,504 - P4,550 = P184,954
Globe: P175,986 - P4,550 = P174,436

It saved us that large of money. By the way, these all of conversions and calculations are assuming. There were many times that our calls were interrupted or ended that already counts as 1 minute.

Okay, since 2 months I didn't post my update call durations, I will post it here in the same post.

One Whole Day for Chapter 1

It's just a day to make a sample of the chapter 1 of the thesis or research or whatever it call, from chapter 1 to 3 we need to defend our DesPro by next week (no idea of the exact day and time, what I know, and what WE know is less than a week is left to finish it all) and we just did some of the half of chapter 1 yesterday from 11am upto 7pm. Searching the net, reading samples, analyzing the guidlines gave by our professor... There's no easy part of the thesis (let's say) you can find at the work. Generating Ideas, analyzing thoughts, assume the grammars, etc., hey! That's a way cool, but not that cool.

We finish the sample of chapter 1 and it makes us stress, haha! But still at least we made something better than we ever expected before we start the project (let's say, maybe). And now, going to school and first subject is about the project, expecting our professor found many errors in our sample in which we expect that she will teach us what will do after that or what to change for better and effective grammar.

Challenging a new Journey

Tired of having one big pack ab?

Actually, I have no intention or interest of having a nice, fit body. I am a Metacafe viewer 4 years ago, watching, commercials from different countries, funny/comedy videos, learning How To gadgets and skills, photos, images, flash games and some shared documents. The software works as it download videos random and automatically without asking what you like to have or to view. Then one time I got some videos on How To category that give information on how to rip 6 pack abs in just 16 weeks!!! I thought it was just a joke or some-money-making videos or want to have some fame.

But when I view their site, try to sign for a FREE MEMBERSHIP and view the work out routines, and the trainer (Arnel) which he post his pictures before and after 16 weeks of his journey, I have some interest of trying to follow his instructions. And reading and watching for the people who tried to follow his site, their testimonies are all successful. And there I start thinking of trying to start a new, another journey for my physical fitness. By proving if this site really helps, there's nothing will lose if I try. So, shall we start?

The Journey of the 3 CoE students of AMA FV

Ok let's see...

Starting on having a group member, I forgot the exact date. Looks like around 2nd week since the trimester starts (May 26, 28 or 30). It starts when Sir Halamani (Engr. Halamani Jr.), our adviser in DesPro 1 (Design Project 1), discuss to us about the subject; having at least 3 proposal and to make a group of at most 3 members per group and at least 1 member per group. I actually already have a group (of 2) and he's EJ (Earl Jan).

After grouping ourselves, we immediately started to plan on what to propose. And later on, I come up with such a simple thought and told EJ about it... he agreed. Finally, we have one out of three proposals!

And continue thinking for two more slots to be occupied...

To be continued...

Manga Messiah

First thought it was just another comedy, fantasy, or perhaps, maybe, another perverted manga made by Japanese for just some fun. I have no interest of reading it since I found it somewhere in the internet. I didn't read the reviews, comments, synopsis, etc. all about the book until one day, one of my friend told that this book is nice, I tried to search again for some comments about this manga, and found some scanned pictures taken from this. A nice graphics, based on the figures of anime and read some dialogs that are clear, biblical, some sort of clever but fun reading. Up until I've got more interest to search in the internet for scanned pictures so I can read the whole, for some curiosity first, but can't find anywhere.
So I tried looking on the malls for about a month or two. Then one day and that's Wednesday this week (June 4, 2008) when my friend's (Gal) friend (Karen), (which also I considered my friend) is celebrating her 18th birthday, I planned to buy something fit for her as a gift with the help of Gal, considering OUR gift to Karen. And Gal told me from some info's by her friend what Karen likes to have or what's her hobby, we found out that she likes reading books, devotionals or anything. So we come up of devotional books, at the same time, same day, I head to Big-R to PCBS to look for books which fit for her as a teen, or perhaps as a youth. After several minutes, I found two books which is very interesting, In the Chatroom with God & Xtreme Faith. I bought those two books less than P500. And while I'm on the counter, I asked if they have Manga Messiah, they have it!!! I add it quickly and finished the transaction and back to school for class and went home at 8:00PM.
The same day, night time, before going to sleep, After reading the Bible (everyday task, scheduled by Daily Bread, 'Bible in one year'), I try reading the 1st part even it was almost late at night and it was nice up until I can't wait to see the next part. And by the time I finished chapter 1 and make ready to sleep. It was day 1.
The next day, no class. Bedtime, same task Bible reading and then read whole chapter 2 in 1 and a half hour. And the day passed. It was day 2.
The next day, Wake up late I didn't cope with my first subject and hurried ready for 2nd subject for a quiz. Done preparing myself and 1 hour more before the next class starts (less 30 mins for the ride) I read the half of chapter 3 in 30mins before go to school. And night time, I finished it off. And it was great!
I finished reading the 280+ pages in just 3 nights! And was a great book to read and really interesting because of the clever-comic-manga-style of the book which fit and most like young people read to. You will feel every part of the situations. The sound effects shoo, woosh, fwoo, yada yada... And looking of it with a full-colored manga and a 280+ pages for just about P150.00!!! And now I'm looking for Tagalog version of this manga.

Sibling Heirarchy

In many Filipino homes, a certain hierarchy denotes sibling nomenclature. The eldest brother is called Kuya in many Tagalog homes. The eldest sister is called Ate. But are these terms Filipino? Arsenio Manuel, states that the word Kuya came from two Chinese terms: "ko" to denote elder brother, and "a" as a word modifier that denotes kinship. Thus what we believe to be a honorific Tagalog kinship title is actually derived from Chinese.

Respected Eldest Brother: Kuya
Many families retain strong Chinese influences and these are seen in how family members address each other in specific terms denoting gender and birth order. Kuya is reserved for the oldest brother. However, nowadays, with the widespread use of honorific kinship titles, Kuya has become a generic term for an elder brother, not necessarily the eldest.

A study of many Filipino families with Chinese antecedents can be very informative. For example, former President Corazon Aquino was born a Conjuangco. Her great grandfather was an eldest brother as discerned from the honorific title "Co" in the family clan name. For that matter, any Filipino Chinese patronymic name that begins with "Co" as in "Coseteng" or "Cu" as in "Cutiongco," indicates a family branch from the eldest son.

Respected Second Oldest Brother: Diko
The second "di" brother "ko" becomes Diko. Names and nicknames do not follow these kinship terms because they are self-explanatory and superfluous. Filipino Chinese patronymic names that begin with "Di" indicate a clan that derived from a cadet branch of the family belonging to the second son in a Chinese clan. Examples from my own circle of friends are "Dichoso, Dyliangco, and Diyco." Come to think of it, these friends of mine indeed have stereotypic Chinese features: porcelain skin, almond eyes, sharp nose.

Ordinal Counts in Chinese
By now we have learned the units of ordinal counting in Chinese. It is Co for first, Di for second, and now we have Sang, for third. Therefore, Sangko is third older brother. Fourth elder brother is Siko. Co, Di, Sang, Si. The "ko" at the end of the ordinal count for second, third and fourth stands for the modifier "brother."

For the females, Ko is simply replaced by Chi. Thus the eldest sister is Achi or atse (as used in Pampanga) or Ate as used in Tagalog provinces. The second older sister is "Di" plus "Chi" or Ditse. In my family the second elder sister is called Dete. The third elder sister is Sanse, and the fourth elder sister is Sitse.

In a Filipino family with nine children of four brothers and four sisters plus the bunso (also called the runt), there is a sociologically structural kinship implication of who has clout. It is abundantly clear who kowtows to everyone else and who carries the commensurate power and prestige among the hierarchy of siblings.

The Youngest Sibling
In Filipino families, the elder brothers and sisters are to be respected always. The amount of deference and respect is directly proportional to his/her ordinal position in the sibling constellation. But there is something disarming in all these Kuya and Ate syndrome. The youngest in the family is seldom punished. Instead, he or she is benignantly tolerated to the point of being spoiled.

While there is a title reserved for the eldest child, these is also a Chinese term reserved fro the youngest boy:totoy. The literal translation for this term is "the foolish son." Several variations appear in the Filipno family: ato, atoy, toto, ito, itoy, doy. As the term Kuya infers authority and responsibility, the term totoy infers a license to boyish mischievousness. Among the girls, the youngest term is nene, in Chinese, the literal meaning is "the dull one." Variants are neneng, ineng, ine, inday, day.

Make no mistake. Filipino families do not call their youngest siblings the foolish one or the dull one. These name handles are in fact terms of endearments. The youngest kids normally get away with everything. Heck, once you have produced that many children, taught them deference to authority through an accident of birth and honorific birth-order titles, your best bet is on the youngest one, who is expected to shower the parents with loving care in their doting years.

PaCham List

Hah! The time I learned to cook different recipes, home recipes, for about months and got interest in cooking (hopefully xD), I've got ideas how to cook every ingredients on how long, how many, the sizes to be cook. Then time comes I started to make my own recipe. Recipes which up to now some of them don't have names.

Like to watch Yakitate! Japan, as Kazuma Azuma the protagonist, who made Ja-Pan breads, and all of his baked breads named next after the word Ja-Pan by naming it in numbers, like Ja-Pan #1 is Soy-milk toast Ja-pan, Ja-pan #16 is Mt.Fuji Curry Ja-pan. When cooking new recipes, I think of naming them but I don't know any of it. I called all of my cook as PaCham or mostly known in Filipinos as Patsamba (from the root word Tsamba which means lucky) and I thought that anime so I made up my mind to name every recipe by number as of now. And here are some I made:

PaCham #1: Ground Beef Braised on Tomato Sauce w/ Celery
PaCham #2: Broccoli Cheese Chopseuy (special ingredient: Campbell's)
PaCham #3: Creamy Celery Pork Chop saute
PaCham #4: Tortang Itlog (weird xD)
PaCham #5: (no name)
PaCham #6: (no name)
PaCham #7: (no name)

That's all just for now. haha

Kulang! Nobody's Perfect

Kulang! Nobody's Perfect

Another book I read after I finished reading 14 & 18 Things book by Ed Lapiz.

In this book, he tells us how to live within imperfection within you and your surroundings. The first topic discussed by Ptr. Ed Lapiz is Living with Imperfect health which discuss the root cause of illness and disability like imperfection of man and sin and fall of man. The damage of illness and disability like actual damage (physically), collateral damage (damage which must not become damage). And he also discuss the "The Christian's answer to illness and disability", the seven A's.

Second topic is about Living with Imperfect Relations or Relatives, the root and Christian's answer to imperfect relations and relatives. Third topic is Living with an Imperfect Partner and fourth is Living with One's Imperfect Self.

This book by Ptr. Ed Lapiz helps us to battle, to overcome and to win the challenges what we mostly encounter in our everyday life. Gives more wisdom by the Holy Spirit.

God Bless!!!

Facing The Giants

The Voice of Truth tell us "Come Together. Never Give Up On Me,.. Come On Back To Me... Completely!"

I can't tell the whole story or even the summarize, but I recommend this film to you to watch. It really touch the hearts whose seeking for the presence of God, our Saviour.

PLOT

Coach Grant Taylor at Shiloh Christian Academy has never had a winning football season. His car breaks down frequently, his house is falling down around him, and he and his wife are unable to have children. When he overhears school parents plotting to have him fired, he reaches a crisis point and prays. The turning point for Coach Taylor is shortly after an intensive time of prayer. An older man who walks the halls of the school praying for the students shows up unexpectedly in the coach's office with a message of encouragement. The timing of that message overcomes the Coach's reluctance to change focus.

A sub-plot involves a short weak boy, David Childers (Bailey Cave), who hopes to play soccer despite the fact his school only offers football. His paraplegic father encourages him to play football only as a kicker, and David is at first reluctant. David's best kick is barely 35 yards. When the team's regular kicker is injured by a broken collar bone during the state championship game, David is called upon to kick a field goal 51 yards. His father (Steve Williams) successfully stands and holds onto a fence through monumental physical effort, and says a small prayer. Despite having to kick the ball into a high wind (as explained by the game's sportcaster) the field goal is made successfully and his team wins.

Another sub-plot involves a rebellious but talented transfer student, Matt Prater (James Blackwell). His father hopes for a football scholarship for his son, but the son constantly disrespects and disregards his father. After the entire school experiences a revival, and Matt gives his life to Christ, he feels the need to address his father during the school day. Coach Taylor provides the needed ride to Matt's father's office, and Matt apologizes to his father for disrespecting his authority. A business associate (David Nixon) of the boy's father then contributes, "I'd give my right arm to hear my son say that to me."

Interaction between assistant coaches Brady Owens (Tracy Goode) and J.T. Hawkins, Jr. (Chris Willis) provides comic relief, in contrast to stereotypical black/white strife in Dixie. Brooke Taylor (Shannen Fields) wrestles with supporting her husband while facing continual disappointment in childbearing. This supplies both poignant and comedic moments.
